Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Delhi.
On arrival at IGIA you will be met and greeted by our representative and will escort you to the hotel, assist you to check in at hotel, overnight stay at hotel in Delhi.

Day 02: Delhi - Leh (3500 m) by Flight
As per the time transfer to Delhi airport to board flight to Leh on arrival at Leh airport pick up and transfer to hotel, rest of the time will be at leisure to rest, after lunch, leave for excursion, Drive to Shankar Gompa , Back by foot on your rhythm between the farms and villages , visit Shanti Stupa, Royal Palace built by 5th Dalailama in 17th century it looks like little Potala of Lahasa , stroll in the Bazzar and overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 3: Hemis -Thak-Thok-Chemere Leh.
Leave early to visit the Hemis monastery, a mass of splendid architecture on a green hill has been built by the inveterate royal architect Singe Namgyal in1630. The monastery belongs to Drukpa sect of Buddhism, site is privileged for Namgyal dynasty and its mural painting represents the different divinities dated back to 18th sanctuary. There is a huge Thanka reputed to be the Largest in existence which is exhibited once in twelve years.

Takthok belongs to the Nying-ma –pa order is the residence of about 55 lamas. .Inside the monastery is the images of Padma Sambhava and Avalokitesvara, The wall decorated with the mural of Padmasambhava,and painting of Sakyamuni and also house the statue of Mattrya or future Buddha or Buddha of compassion.

Chemrey Gompa, built in 17th century by Lama Tagsang Raschen and belongs to the Drugpa Order, approximately 20 monks and also their young apprentices lives here. Monastery was initially built to serve as a memorial to King Sengge Namgyal. Its attraction is one-story high image of Padmasambhava.and precious collection of scriptures.

Day 4: Leh - Shey-Thiksey-Choglamsar 30 kms (both way)
Leave early to attend the morning ceremony in the monastery of Thiksey, A majestic monastery perched on a rocky outcrop built in the 15th century during the first wave of expansion of Gelugpa sect in Ladakh. In the entry there are painting of protective deities and the great masters of the sect.

Then drive to Shey, once the capital of upper Ladakh before being supplanted by Leh, monastery housed with rich murals painting ,well restored and represent the 18 arhats (disciples of Buddha who attained enlightenment), Back to Choglamsar for Lunch in Tibetan restaurant, later visit Tibetan refugee camp, evening back to Leh.

Day 5: Leh to Stok and Spituk, 30 kms (both way)
Early breakfast, than leave to Stock to get the better sun rise light for photo- graph .Visit Palace and village, Museum one can see valuable antic objects, We will stroll from the village to village to meet the people and to see their daily activities, one can enter in a family house to have a cup of tea and discuss their mode of life. Back to Leh for Lunch, afternoon leave to visit the Spituk village, visit its monastery and stroll in village, overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 6: Leh - Lamayuru via Likkir, Basgo (3450 m), 135 kms.,
Leave to Likkir in the direction to west of Leh following the Indus valley , Here you will visit majestic monastery of 7th century of Gylukpa sect ( Red hat ) next is ruin of Basgo palace and its famous stucco temple. Now take road to Lamayuru, one of the ancient monasteries magnificently perched on the hill. Before Buddhism penetrated in the region this site was known as a centre for Bon religion, one can participate in the evening Puja (ceremony) stroll in the village, overnight stay in guest house.

Day 7: Lamayuru - Alchi,-55 kms. stroll in the village
One can gain attend the morning puja in the monastery , after breakfast short drive till Alchi , visit Monastery, among the many temples, caves and stupas built in Ladakh Alchi choskor is the largest and most famous of all of them, built by Rinchen Zangpo ablout 990 years ago. Monastery house valuable mural painting and Thankas.

Day 8: Alchi-Temisgam-Tia, Alchi
We leave with Pack lunch to Temisgam, a small hidden oasis located in the heart of grand and mineral landscape known for the production of ales and apricot visit Pal as built in 1460, next step to the monastery of Temisgam, Monastery house magnified fresco et statues, Now walk in the village of Tia, visit Nunnery to discover the life of women in the isolated monastery, back to Alchi for overnight stay.

Day 9: Alchi - Leh via Rizong, Phyang 70 km
Leave to Leh, en route visit the monastery of Rizong and Phyang
Rizong monastery is built in 1831 by Lama Tsultim Nim, About 40 monks reside here, belongs to the Tsongkhapa order.
Phyang belongs to Kagyupa order (T Red hate) of Tibetan Buddhism also called Tashi Chozang, is built on the hill dominates the village, stroll in the village and overnight stay at hotel in Leh.

Day 10: Leh-Dehli.
Flight to Delhi, on arrival in Delhi our representative will accompany you till hotel; check in hotel at 12 noon, half day city tour to lotus temple and Hunmayun Tomb, night in hotel.

Lotus Templeknown as bahai house of worship the construction of this temple was completed in 1986; it serves as the Mother Temple of the Indian subcontinent and has become a prominent attraction in the city. The Lotus Temple has won numerous architectural awards.

Humayun’s TombHumayun died in 1556, and his widow Hamida Banu Begam, also known as Haji Begam, commenced the construction of his tomb in 1569, fourteen years after his death. It is the first distinct example of proper Mughal style, which was inspired by Persian architecture.

Day 11: Visit Delhi and Departure.
Morning visit to the street of old Delhi by Tricycle ( Man drive rickshaw ) Discover the spice market and colourful bazzar, red fort and Grand Mosque ( Jama Masjid ) You can have lunch in Karim restaurant know of mughlai specialities .A glimpse to India gate and president house before visiting Connaught place . After dinner transfer to IGIA to board flight for onward destination.

Jama Masjid:built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan it is the largest Mosque in India, with a courtyard capable of holding 25000 devotees at a time. It took six years to build this grand Mosque construction was started in 1650 AD and was completed in 1656 AD.

Red Fort:Built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, construction begun in 1639 and was completed after 9 years. The Red Fort was built as the fortified palace of Shahjahanabad, capital of the fifth Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan.

India Gate:India Gate is the pride of Delhi. An imposing structure, the gate was built in the memory of the 90,000 Indian soldiers who laid down their lives during World War I. The India Gate is 42 meters high and is a popular as a relaxation area during the summer evenings and a popular picnic spot during winter, initially called All India War Memorial.

President House:Rashtrapati Bhavan of India is the house of President of India; the bhavan. The mansion was built during the days of British Empire. The mansion was occupied by the Indians after the freedom in 1947. Apart from President of India this Bhavan also have quarters of other officials of Indian ministry, it took seventeen years to complete the mansion.
